RESUMO

The murine sarcoma virus oncogene (KRAS) is a key gene associated with tumorigenesis and chemotherapy resistance. However, little is known about the molecular mechanisms and immune infiltration of RASs in lung adenocarcinoma. Gene Expression Profiling Interaction Analysis was used for RASs expression analysis, and Kaplan-Meier analysis was used to analyze the potential of RASs in clinical prognosis. The effect of KRAS on immune infiltration was analyzed by TIMER. In addition, the correlation between KRAS expression and molecular mechanisms was investigated by TIMER and Cancer Single-cell State Atlas (Cancer SEA). KRAS expression levels were associated with good prognosis and tumor progression. Furthermore, KRAS expression correlates with several immune cell markers and regulates tumorigenesis. KRAS expression is involved in the regulation of multiple oncogenes and tumorigenesis, especially in the prognosis and immune infiltration of lung adenocarcinoma.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The recent article Copper induces cell death by targeting lipoylated TCA cycle proteins has attracted much attention. Although copper-induced cell death has only recently been formally proposed, it has been studied much earlier. This study aims to undertake a bibliometric analysis of the literature on copper-induced cell death to understand the development of copper-induced cell death better and identify potential new research directions. METHODS: With the help of Cite Space software, visual analysis is carried out on the annual number of published papers, countries/regions and institutions, journals co-citation, literature co-citation and reference burst, keywords co-occurrence, clustering, and burst. RESULTS: A search of 770 articles published in English over the last ten years showed a fluctuating trend of increasing numbers of articles. China had the highest number of articles (190% or 24.68%), followed by the USA and India. Inflammation, biological evaluation, nanoparticle, and cu(ii) have been popular research themes in the last 4 years. The keyword clusters are summarized in 8 categories, including exposure, complexe, er stress, cleavage, paraptosis, cancer, glutamate, reactive oxygen species (ROS), expression. The hot topics are mainly focused on the exploration of mechanisms and related diseases, including induced apoptosis, aggregation, autophagy, endoplasmic reticulum stress, induced oxidative stress, and inflammation. Parkinson's disease and cancer are 2 diseases that are closely related to copper-induced cell death. CONCLUSION: This study provides a visual analysis of copper-induced cell death trends and provides some hidden potentially useful information for future research directions.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: As we all know, this Nobel Prize is awarded to uncover the mechanism of "a glass of cold milk providing instant relief when eating a spicy hot pot"; the key factor, Piezo, has therefore become a clinical research hotspot. Most importantly, the factor of Piezo has been increasingly considered when analyzing the majority of common clinical diseases. The Piezo has entered a new stage and has made a series of progress. This study mainly outlines the knowledge map and detects the potential research hotspots by using bibliometric analysis. METHODS: The core collection database of WoS was used to retrieve the bibliographic records related to Piezos from January 1, 2010 to October 8, 2021. CiteSpace was utilized to generate and analyze visual representations of the complex data input. RESULTS: Overall, the number of Piezos publications has shown a significant upward trend since 2010. There were 902 research publications referenced a total of 19,095 times. The United States and China are the two nations with the highest number of published articles in this discipline. The institutions with the most publications are Scripps Research Institute and the University at Buffalo (SUNY-Buffalo). The primary topics of investigation are "endothelial cell" "xerocytosis" "current" "calcium", "mutation" "activated ion channel" "Ca2+ influx" "protein" "smooth muscle" and "nociception". Ardem Patapoutian and Frederick Sachs are the two most prolific authors of scholarly articles. The gene expression is the current focus of research in this topic. CONCLUSIONS: Piezo is rapidly developing. This knowledge will be utilized extensively in the process of developing treatments for many diseases. Current research focuses mostly on gene expression.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Thermoreceptors include TRPV1 and TRPM8. TRPV1 and TRPM8 are TRP channels. TRP ion channels are widely expressed in many different tissues and cell types, and are involved in different physiological processes. Research on the structure and basic physiological functions of TRPV1 is relatively perfect, and the relationship between the pathogenesis of other members of the TRP family and specific diseases and TRPV1 remains to be explored in depth. METHODS: Articles regarding TRP were culled from the Web of Science Core Collection, and knowledge maps were generated using the CiteSpace software. RESULTS: In total, 19,862 articles were included. The number of published articles on this topic has rapidly increased since 2000, with more than 1000 articles published per year by 2020. MAKOTO TOMINAGA was the author with the most articles. The countries with the most articles were the United States and China. However, the number of articles in the U.S. was 3 times that in China. The organizations that publish the most articles are Harvard University in the US and Seoul Natl University in South Korea. TRP and the pathogenesis of diseases, such as neuropathy and stroke, are hotspots of current research. CONCLUSION: To our knowledge, this is the first study to provide an overview of the literature on TRP. Research on TRPs is developing rapidly.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The Mediterranean diet (MD) is an ancient eating habit that is believed to contribute to a healthy lifestyle. Unsurprisingly, research on the MD is growing rapidly as people pay more attention to health preservation and prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of chronic diseases. Previous reviews focused more on the effects of MD on a particular disease which has enhanced its significance in the medicine field. However, few studies have attempted to provide a comprehensive summary and analysis of this topic. This study evaluates the global research trends of scientific outputs related to MD from multiple perspectives, using a bibliometric analysis and visualization tool (CiteSpace software) to scientifically analyze the knowledge from the literature. METHODS: The core collection database of Web of Science was used to retrieve the bibliographic records related to MD from 1984 to March 30, 2021. CiteSpace was used to generate and analyze visual representations of the complex data input, including number of publications, research performances in journals, authors, institutions, countries and co-occurrence networks of keywords and co-citation references. RESULTS: Overall, the number of MD publications has shown a significant upward trend since 2012. Nutrients and American Journal of Clinical Nutrition contained the most articles related to MD, indicating that they were important platforms for related research. Martinez-gonzalez Ma and Estruch Ramon are the authors with the highest number of publications related to MD, and it is noteworthy that these 2 authors have close cooperation in this field. The countries with the most publications are Spain and the United States, and the institutions with the most publications are Univ Navarra, Inst Salud Carlos III. The main research disciplines are "Mediterranean diet," "risk," "cardiovascular disease," "adherence," "obesity," "coronary heart disease," "diet," "health," "physical activity" and "risk factor". Estruch R's 2013 study on cerebrovascular disease and Tricopoulou A's 2003 mortality study were cited 881 cases for 437 times, respectively, showing the importance of these 2 articles in this field. CONCLUSION: The current global trends of MD research as well as people's increasing awareness of healthcare and healthy lifestyle imply that MD research is expected to become increasingly popular with further breakthroughs.
